1. Who We Are
Voaise Technologies ("Voaise," "we," "our," or "us") is an artificial-intelligence technology company headquartered in India. We develop and operate the Voaise platform, which includes:
- Voaise Web Application (voaise.com) — multilingual transcription, translation, and AI-powered productivity tools.
- VoaiseGlass Mobile Application — companion app for Voaise AI Smart Glasses (Android).
- Voaise AI Smart Glasses — wearable hardware with built-in camera, microphone, and speakers.
- On-Device Intelligence Features — voice, vision, and translation capabilities that help the application recognise objects, understand speech, translate languages, and respond to natural voice interactions.
- Device Gateway (device.voaise.com) — cloud infrastructure that connects smart glasses to Voaise services.
This Privacy Policy applies to all data collected through any of the above products and services, whether accessed via web browser, mobile app, or smart glasses hardware.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Full name, email address
- Authentication credentials (password hash; OAuth tokens for Google sign-in)
- Profile picture (optional)
- Subscription tier and billing history
2.2 Voice and Audio Data
When you use transcription, live translation, or the voice-command feature, we process:
- Audio streams captured from your device microphone or smart glasses microphone
- Transcriptions and translations generated from your audio
- Voice command metadata (timestamp, duration, language detected)
Audio streams are processed in real time and are not stored permanently on our servers. Transcriptions are stored in your account until you delete them. Assistant conversation history is stored to enable contextual follow-up conversations and is deletable at any time.
2.3 Smart Glasses and Device Data
When you pair Voaise AI Smart Glasses with the VoaiseGlass app, we collect:
- Device identifier (Bluetooth Low Energy MAC address — stored locally on your phone only)
- Firmware version and hardware model
- Battery level and charging status
- Connection timestamps and session duration
BLE addresses are never transmitted to our servers. They remain on your mobile device for reconnection purposes.
2.4 Photos, Videos, and Media
When you capture media through your smart glasses:
- Photos and videos are imported from glasses to your phone via peer-to-peer Wi-Fi transfer
- Media files are stored locally on your device
- If you choose to use the vision-analysis feature, individual images may be sent to our AI processing servers for analysis and are not retained after processing
2.5 Assistant Feature Data
When you interact with the in-app AI assistant feature, we collect and store:
- Conversation history (text messages and assistant responses)
- Contextual preferences and follow-up context to help the assistant recall what you were doing
- Custom skills you create and configure
- Standing orders, reminders, and automation rules
- Third-party service connections (OAuth tokens for Gmail, Calendar, and other services you connect) — stored encrypted using industry-standard authenticated encryption
2.6 Payment Information
We offer multiple payment options: Google Play Billing (for subscriptions purchased through the Play Store), Razorpay, and PhonePe. When you subscribe through Google Play Billing, Google handles all payment processing; we receive only the purchase confirmation. For Razorpay and PhonePe, we do not store your credit/debit card numbers, UPI IDs, or bank account details on our servers — those processors handle sensitive financial data in compliance with PCI-DSS standards. We retain only:
- Transaction IDs and payment status
- Subscription plan and billing cycle dates
- Invoice amounts and currency
2.7 Usage and Technical Data
- IP address, browser type, operating system, device type
- App version and session timestamps
- Feature usage patterns (which screens visited, actions taken)
- Error logs and crash reports (anonymized)
3. How We Use Your Information
- Service delivery: Transcribing audio, translating languages, running conversational assistant features, processing voice commands, and helping the app recognise objects and interpret what is around you
- Personalization: The assistant feature learns your preferences over time so it can provide better, more contextual help
- Account management: Authentication, billing, subscription management
- Device management: Firmware updates, battery monitoring, connection management
- Communication: Service notifications, security alerts, product updates (opt-out available)
- Improvement: Analyzing aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve features and performance
- Security: Fraud detection, abuse prevention, enforcing our terms
- Legal compliance: Meeting regulatory obligations under applicable Indian law
4. AI and Machine Learning
The in-app assistant feature uses your conversation history and stored preferences to provide personalised responses. We want you to understand:
- Your conversations are not used to train foundation AI models. Your data stays within your account context.
- The assistant's long-term memory stores facts and preferences you share. You can view, search, and delete these entries at any time from the Memory screen.
- Third-party AI model providers (used for language processing) receive only the minimal data needed to generate responses. They do not retain your data beyond the processing session, per our data processing agreements.
- AI-generated responses may be inaccurate. Voaise does not guarantee the correctness of any AI output.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We share your personal information only in these circumstances:
- AI processing providers: Minimal conversation data sent to AI model providers for generating responses (under strict data processing agreements)
- Payment processors: Razorpay and PhonePe for transaction processing
- Cloud infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform for hosting and data storage (data centers as described in Section 7)
- Third-party integrations you authorise: When you connect Gmail, Calendar, or other services to your assistant, data is exchanged with those providers per their own privacy policies
- Legal obligations: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (you will be notified beforehand)
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- All data in transit encrypted with TLS 1.2+
- Third-party service credentials encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM
- Authentication via JWT tokens with per-issuer algorithm pinning
- OAuth state parameters protected with HMAC signatures
- Webhook endpoints protected with idempotency keys
- Per-device rate limiting to prevent abuse
- MMKV encrypted local storage on mobile devices
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
No system is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security against all threats.
7. Data Storage and Transfer
Your data is primarily stored on servers operated by Google Cloud Platform. Depending on service availability, data may be processed in data centers located in India, the United States, or the European Union. By using our services, you consent to data processing in these locations.
Local data on your mobile device (BLE addresses, paired device history, app settings, cached auth tokens) is stored using MMKV encrypted storage and remains entirely on your device unless explicitly synced.
8. Data Retention
- Account Deletion (Deferred Deactivation): When you request account deletion, your login session is immediately terminated globally, and your account status changes to deactivated. Personal data (transcripts, profiles, custom AI settings) is preserved for a 30-day grace period, during which you can reactivate your account. After 30 days, your data is permanently and irreversibly purged from our servers.
- Legal Holds: Permanent deletion of account data is subject to legal hold overrides. If we receive a valid governmental or law enforcement request under IT Act Section 91 or other applicable regulations prior to the conclusion of the 30-day grace period, data purging is suspended.
- Transcriptions and translations: Retained until you delete them or close your account.
- Assistant conversations: Retained until you clear conversation history or close your account.
- Assistant memory entries: Retained until you delete individual entries or close your account.
- Audio streams: Processed in real time and discarded immediately after transcription. Not stored.
- Payment records: In accordance with Indian GST and financial compliance laws, invoice history and billing transaction records must be retained for 7 years.
- Server logs: Retained for 90 days for debugging and security purposes, then deleted.
9. Your Rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and applicable international laws, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Grievance redressal: Raise concerns about how your data is processed
- Nominate: Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity
- Withdraw consent: Withdraw previously given consent (this may affect your ability to use certain features)

10. Cookies and Tracking
Our web application uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. You can configure cookie preferences in your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using the service.
The VoaiseGlass mobile application does not use cookies. It uses MMKV local storage for app settings and authentication state.
11. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@voaise.com and we will promptly delete such information.
12. Third-Party Services
When you connect third-party services (such as Google Gmail, Google Calendar, or Google Tasks) to the app, those services are governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service you connect. We only access data from connected services as necessary to fulfil the requests and instructions you give to the app.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
